If you want to hide something from Black people, put it in a book. In other words, Black People don't read books. Please explain your answer.

What we must understand is that we as african americans have been judged, ridiculed, picked at,and pointed at,questioned like we are criminals.I feel that if some one wants to give their personal info out, then that's their choice. It does not mean more or less they have something to hide or if it's true or false. What happened to privacy? It does not mean that you have something to hide. It's just respecting one's self if chose to.Don't try to judge everyone's motives for privacy of self.True or False.

The encouragement to read amongst African Americans was advocated strongly due to it being a priviledge not many could take part in the past. As African Americans advanced through education each generation seemed to understand less the battles that were won to allow African Americans to learn to read and have access to literature. I believe the comment is perpetuating the sterotype of the "dumb" Ni.... to discourage our youth to continue to excel beyond what mainstream society expects them to do. What someone says is only opinion not fact; it is up to us as a people to live on fact that we can succeed in anything including reading, writing and mathematics.

Reading is fundamental was a slogan several years ago and we allowed it to fade out. It is still the most important component in education. It isn't hidden in the book because some of us do read.

I feel this is false. SOME, or maybe many Black people do not read, just as some or many of people of any race does not read books.. This is another steriotype that needs to be nipped in the bud, and HID, from a book!!

The truth applies to people of all color that we are more concerned with pleasing the people to our left or right than knowing the truth that is revealed in the Holy Bible. Things spiral downward when our priorities are not right
